  1. Joseph Katherine Bryant & Wellness Center 880, Lindsay Street Greensboro, NC 27411
  2. 24000 seating capacity stadium.
  3. Mondo Rubber Super X 14mm track. Installation projected date of completion is November 3, 2003.
  4. Eight 48 inches lanes on straightaways and around the track.
  5. One common finish line on southwest side of the stadium.  Alternate 100 meters and 110 hurdles finish line on northwest side of stadium.
  6. Direction of lanes are from north to south.
  7. A true arc Radius to the measuring line 36.8 meters (120’8-13/16) meet all IAAF specifications.
  8. ¼ pyramid spike only.
  9. Steeplechase water jump is located in the side of the north curve.
  10. There are dual facilities for the long jump, high jump shotput, and weight throw (that can be thrown inside and outside of stadium simultaneously).
  11. Synthetic surface-mondo rubber is a composition of all runways 14mm thick.

                                                                                                                                                                                            

Ø      Pole vault has one landing area with, two runways for changing wind conditions.                                                                                                                                                       

 

Ø      Pole vault run way is 155 feet.

 

Ø      Long/Triple jump has two runways with pits on either end for changing with conditions.                                                                                                                  

 

Ø      Sand pit are 26 by 9.5 feet filled with high quality sand.      

 

Ø      Run ways are four feet by 65 feet (147.7 for IAAF).      

 

Ø      Each sand pit has three take off boards: located at 12 feet, 34 feet and 41 feet from the sand pit.

 

Ø      New UCS standard cross bar and landing mats located at end on a extra large D area that can accommodate two high jump pits.

 

Ø      Javelin runway is located in the D area.

 

Ø      Runway is 120 feet long 13’1 ½” wide.

 

Ø      Landing area is natural grass and can accommodate a world record.

 

Ø      Combination UCS protective Cage.

 1. High Jump:

1.1   Extra large D-area for 2 high jump pits. 

2. Javelin:

2.1   Located in the D-area.

2.2   Runway is 13’ 1-1/2” by 120 feet.

2.3   Landing area is natural grass, can accommodate a world record throw.

 

3. Hammer/Discus (outside track oval):

3.1   Located behind the stadium.

3.2   I recessed circle with conversion insert for hammer.

3.3   Combination UCS protective cage.

3.4   Landing area is natural grass, can accommodate a world record throw.

 

4. Shot Put:

4.1   Located outside the track oval, adjacent to the 4th turn, viewable from stadium.

4.2  Independent throwing circles with independent landing areas.

4.3  Landing areas are special rock dust, compacted material, complete with underground drainage.

 

5. Meet Management Area:

5.1   Clerk-of-course area (54’x 33’) under portable tent, located in the chute behind 110 meter starting line.

5.2   Meet management offices under the stadium.

5.3   Extra rooms available in the new Bryan Fitness & Wellness Building for officials, packet pick-up, etc.         This building is adjacent to the 3rd turn.

 

6. Warm-up Area:

6.1  Large natural grass fields behind stadium (2 football & 1 baseball field).
