The North Carolina A&T baseball team had a hard time slowing down High Point on Tuesday as the Panthers defeated the Aggies 14-4 at C.O. Williard Stadium. Nelson Santos went 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.

Brandon Moore (1-1) earned the win for the Panthers by pitching seven innings, giving up no runs and just three hits. Chris Eggers (2-2) took the loss for the Aggies.

The Panthers broke things open in the fourth inning pushing across seven runs with six hits and four stolen bases. Bill Alvino led off with a double and scored on a double by Stobbe. Schwartz singled home Stobbe then stole second and moved to third on a ball-four wild pitch to Wheeler. Robby Kuzdale recorded an RBI groundout followed by an RBI single from Cowan. Norwood singled to put runners on the corners then stole second. An Aggie wild pitch allowed Cowan to score and moved Norwood to third. J. Williams walked and stole second setting up Alvino for his second double of the frame, that drove in a pair of runs to make the score 8-0.

The Aggies got on the board in the eighth as Santos homered off reliever Joe Miller. The Aggies put two more runners on base during the inning as Neil Rosser and Lester Rivenbark hit back-to-back singles. But they were stranded fly out to right and a pop up to third. The Aggies are back in action on Friday when they travel to Radford to start a three-game series with the Highlanders.
