Box Score Jeremy Jones led the Aggies with a 3-for-5 with RBI on the day. He is hitting .476 on the young season with nine RBIs. Nick Mayo added a 2-for-5 performance with one run scored as the Aggies fell to 3-2 on the season. It was an odd day for Aggies starter Chris Mullins. He had three bad innings against the Bulldogs, but those innings were about as bad as they can be. Mullins gave up five runs in the second. He kept the Bulldogs quiet over the next three innings before a Jarnell Kinard two-run RBI triple RBI gave the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead. The Bulldogs added another run on a Matt Rizzuto RBI single. The Bulldogs removed any doubt in the game with a six-run seventh that included nine Bulldog hits. The Aggies offense finally got on the board in the eighth on a RBI sacrifice fly by Joe McIntyre. Cyril Daniel added his first career RBI when he plated C.J. Beatty from third in the ninth after Beatty reached on a fielding error. B.J. Curtis also recorded his first career RBI two batters later with a single to left field that scored Joe Wade. Jeremy Jones closed out the scoring by recording his 82nd career RBI with a single through the left side to score Daniel. The Aggies will head to Charleston, S.C., to play in the Charleston Firefighter Memorial Challenge hosted by The Citadel from Feb. 29-Mar 2. |
