Chiz earns two hits, scores a run

GREENSBORO, April 5, 2009 –  The North Carolina A&T baseball team faced some of the toughest pitching its seen all season during the three-game series with the three-time defending MEAC champion Bethune-Cookman Wildcats.

But the toughest of the three pitchers may have been Sunday’s starter Ali Simpson. Simpson struck out 10 over six innings to the lead the Wildcats to an 11-1 win.

N.C. A&T catcher Eric Chiz had two hits and scored a run. Junior C.J. Beatty added two hits, including a double. The Aggies only run came in the fifth when a lead-off single by Chiz led to an RBI single to center field by James Howard.
