JUSTIN GOLDSTON

5-10, 220-pound senior, Asheboro, N.C.  

Has made a valuable contribution to the Aggies with his hard work and dedication…He has been a solid person on and off the field for head coach Keith Shumate…Goldston has excelled in the classroom and is a MEAC All-Academic team member…He is also been recognized by N.C. A&T Athletics for maintaining a 3.0 or higher GPA…He is the son of Tony and Ann Goldston and is a transportation and logistics major out of Asheboro, N.C…Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Justin Goldston.

MICHAEL HAUFF

6-1, 230-pound senior, Asheboro, N.C.

Will go down as one of the best pitchers to ever tote the mound for the North Carolina A&T program, and definitely its finest strikeout pitcher… He was sixth in the nation in strikeouts per inning as a junior and is 18th in the nation this season…Hauff has made 67 career appearances and 50 starts for the Aggies…He has 22 career wins as an Aggie with a career 4.10 ERA…He will go into the MEAC Tournament this week with 394 career strikeouts, six away from 400 for his career…A year ago he was named MEAC and blackcollegebaseball.com’s Pitcher of the Year…He also made first-team All-MEAC last season and was named to blackcollegebaseball.com’s first-team for the second year in a row…He has been named MEAC Pitcher of the Week twice this season…He will hold the distinction of being the starting pitcher in the Aggies first NCAA game…He also earned the save in the MEAC Championship game…He is the son of Andy and Martie Hauff and is a mathematics major out of Asheboro, N.C…Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Michael Huaff.

DUSTIN IJAMES

6-1, 160-pound senior, Kernersville, N.C.

Ijames has been a valuable person to head Coach Keith Shumate on and off the field…In 2006, he was named Male Academic Athlete of the Year for posting highest GPA – 3.7 – among male athletes at North Carolina A&T…He has been named to the MEAC All-Academic Team three times…He also plays a role in helping Shumate and his coaching staff…As a player, he has played in 73 games and made 20 career starts for the Aggies…Has normally been used in pinch-hitting or situational roles…He is the son of  Debbie and Dale Ijames and majors in business…Ladies and Gentlemen Mr. Dustin Ijames.

ERIK NEAL

6-2, 190-pound senior, Columbia, S.C.

Has mostly played the role of set up man out of the Aggies bullpen during his career…This season he stepped in as a starter and gave head coach Ketih Shumate some valuable innings…Has made 58 career appearances with 12 starts during his career…Neal has 102 strikeouts in 129.2 innings pitched during his career…During the Aggies championship run a year ago, Neal made a career-high 25 appearances, struck out 38 batters in 42 innings pitched and sported a 4.29 ERA…He is the son of William and Sylvia Neal and is an electronics and computer technology major out of Columbia, S.C…Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Erik Neal.

 RAUL SANTIAGO

5-10, 185-pound senior, Fayetteville, N.C.

During his career, Santiago has been a versatile player for head coach Keith Shumate…He has rotated between the outfield and catching…He has also been one of the best clutch hitters in the MEAC during his career…He has a knack for hitting walk-off home runs or producing game-winning hits…Has recorded career-highs in hits (50), batting average (.286), doubles (13) and home runs (4) this season…After coming into his junior year with just 16 hits, in the last two years he has compiled 91 hits, eight home runs and 21 doubles while playing in 95 games with 90 starts…He is the son of Freddy and Marta’ Santiago and is a sports science major out of Fayetteville, N.C…Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Raul Santiago.
