into the 2007 as the Aggies No. 1 pitcher…Has already put together one
of the most solid careers an Aggies pitcher has ever had…Has proven to
be a versatile contributor for the Aggies…Has a career 13-9 record with
the Aggies…Played a true dual role for the Aggies…When it wasn’t his
turn in the rotation, he was the Aggies full-time second baseman…Played
the second base position because he was simply the best second baseman
available…Along with his impressive 3.93 career ERA, 12 career complete
games and 163 career strikeouts, he is also a career .263 hitter with
nine doubles and 14 RBI in 50 career starts as an infielder…Used a good
slider to put together an outstanding freshman campaign that included a
spot on the All-MEAC first team and blackcollegebaseball.com’s first
team…Also earned the prestigious honor of being named to Louisville
Slugger’s All-Freshman team…Led the team and the MEAC in complete games
with seven…Had one of the lowest ERA’s for a freshman in Aggies history

2006 Season
Had
another outstanding season on the mound and a career year at the
plate…Made 17 appearances with 14 career starts…On the mound, he was 6-6
with a 4.51 ERA…Went the distance five times…Led the MEAC in innings
pitched with 109.2 innings…Also recorded 90 strikeouts and the lowest
number of walks among any Aggies regular starter with just 19…Also made
three relief appearances...Ranked third in the conference in strikeouts
and his devastating slider helped him catch 33 batters looking at strike
three, which was the second-highest amount in the MEAC…His walk total
per inning was third lowest in the conference…Helped the Aggies
eliminate Norfolk State from the MEAC Tournament on May 19 when he
pitched nine innings, struck out eight and surrendered no earned runs in
a 2-1 Aggies win…Struck out a career-high 12 in a losing effort against
Norfolk State on March 26…Pitched a complete-game three-hitter against
Longwood on April 23 in which he struck out eight in a 2-1 win...Was
also effective at the plate…Batted .280 with 12 RBI and eight
doubles…Was also excellent in the field with a .955 fielding
percentage…Batted .300 against left-handers and was a .335 hitter with
runners on…Had 10 multiple hit games on the season, including three
games in which he had three hits…Went 3-for-5 with an RBI double against
Appalachian State on March 15…Went 5-for-11 with five runs scored and
two RBI in a three-game series against Maryland-Eastern on April 15 and
16…Went 5-for-9 with two runs scored and two RBI in a three-game series
against Coppin State on May 6 and 7…Also pitched in that series and
struck out nine in 5-4 loss.
2005 Season
Played
in 14 games, making 13 starts as an Aggies infielder…Made 15 appearances
for the Aggies on the mound and made 12 starts…On the pitcher’s mound is
where he made his biggest impact…Posted a 7-3 record with a 3.25
ERA…Earned a start against Oral Roberts in the Aggies second NCAA
Regional Game…Also earned a start in the MEAC Tournament second-round
game against Norfolk State in which he struck out four in a 12-3
win…Made his first career appearance on Feb. 6 against Duke in which he
pitched 1/3 of inning in relief and surrendered no hits, no runs and one
walk in the Aggies 4-1 win…Made his first career start against
Gardner-Webb…Pitched a one-hitter over eight innings, walking four,
striking out four and surrendering no earned runs in a 3-1 win…Earned
win No. 2 by pitching one of his seven complete games...Struck out six,
gave up just one earned run and five hits in the win over Albany…Would
go to 3-0 with an impressive complete-game shutout against six-time
defending MEAC Champion Bethune-Cookman on March 26…Gave up just three
hits and struck out six in the game…Pitched a complete game against
Savannah State, earning the win by giving up just two runs and two walks
while striking out 12 in a 17-2 win.

No. 75 in the state of North Carolina by Impact Baseball…Named
all-conference, all-tournament and team captain while at Garner High
School…Named to the state’s East-West All-Star Game…Won an American
