AGGIES CONCLUDE THEIR OWN INVITATIONAL
Brungard finishes 13th overall with 1,029 pins

 GREENSBORO, N.C., January 29, 2005 -  N.C. A&T picked up 14 points on the final day of Baker competition to finish in 11th place in the 2nd Annual Aggie Invitational at Gate City Lanes.

 The Aggies finished with 32 overall points to finish ahead of Norfolk State (18) and Winston-Salem State (9).  “We want to thank all of the Aggie athletic staff, volunteers, and supporters who combined with the teams to make this a great event,” said coach Courtney Stith. “I would have loved for our team to finish higher, but this experience will make us better come MEAC time.”

 Fairleigh Dickinson finished with 74 points to edge New Jersey City (71) for the team title. New Jersey City’s Vicki Spratford won the Tournament MVP honor with a pin total of 1,280. Jamie Brungard posted 1,029 total pins for the day to finish 13th overall in individual competition.

 N.C. A&T will be back in action on Feb. 11-12 in the Releaser’s Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla.
