AGGIES LOOK TOWARD A BETTER DAY 2

Greensboro, N.C. – January 27, 2005 -  N.C. A&T could not shake off a slow start and finished ninth out of 13 teams in day one of the Aggie Invitational at Gate City Lanes.

The day consisted entirely of Baker’s system best-of-five play, as 13 teams faced a random draw of opponents. The Aggies were able to defeat their MEAC Southern Division foe, Norfolk State, in three games to earn 3.0 team points for the evening.

“Bottom line, we have to do much better,” said coach Courtney Stith. “We have to get back to doing our best and not think about what’s behind us or what’s beside us. Bowling is about offense, and we weren’t offensive today.”

Day two, which consists of match play, will take place tomorrow, beginning at noon. The winner of the Invitational will be determined after the conclusion of day three on Sunday.

Below are the results of day one in the Aggie Invitational.
