AGGIES CONTINUE TO ROLL

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA., DECEMBER 5, 2005 – The N.C. A&T bowling team went a combined 7-1 at the MEAC Southern Divisional to improve to 38-10 on the season as they head into a three-week Holiday break.  

 Jamie Brungard led two other payers who scored more than 800 over the four-game team-match play segment. Brungard and Jessica Florit bowled 216 and 213 respectively in the opening game to lead the Aggies to a blowout win over Florida A&M, 981-714. Against, S.C. State, Brungard, Florit, Danielle Hanna and Hilary Cox all scored more than 200 to as the Aggies defeated the Bulldogs 1,076-776.

 The Aggies also blew out Norfolk State, but had their toughest competition of the night when they faced Bethune-Cookman. Erica Johson, who had not bowled better than 200 in the previous three games, scored a 223 to help the Aggies win 995-948.

 N.C. A&T improves to 19-7 in team-match play this season, and 19-3 in the Baker’s System with a 3-1 showing over the weekend. Again, Bethune-Cookman gave the Aggies their toughest challenge, taking the Aggies to five games in the best 3-of-5 team competition.

 The Aggies return to action on Dec. 27 when they travel to Atlantic City to play in the Holiday Jamboree from Dec. 27-29.
