AGGIES CONTINUE STRONG PLAY AGAINST THE MEAC

ORANGEBURG, SC, January 15, 2006 -- Erica Johnson bowled a 799 and Jamie Brungard added a score of 775 to help the Aggies improve to 52-17 on the season.

The Aggies added Shea Stark, this year's senior captain on the Aggies volleyball team, to the roster to replace bowling standout Hilary Cox. But it was Johnson's 223 and Brungard's 220 in Game 4 that helped the Aggies defeat Bethune-Cookman 932-875 in team-match play.

The Aggies also defeated Florida A&M, Norfolk State and S.C. State in team-match play to complete the sweep. In the Baker's System, Bethune-Cookman was able to get the best of the Aggies 551-451. The Aggies are 26-11 in team-match play and 26-6 in Baker System play. They are 29-6 against MEAC competition.

The Aggies will head to Baton Rouge, La., to bowl in the Southern Varsity Classic. They will return home to bowl in Greensboro for the first and only time during the season when they host the Aggie Invitational from Jan. 27-29 at Gate City Lanes.
