GREENSBORO, November 30, 2007 – Michael Ferguson put together the fourth best rushing season in N.C. A&T football history in 2007. For his efforts, Ferguson was named second-team All-MEAC following the season. Ferguson became just the fifth different back in Aggie history to record a 1,000-yard season. It was the sixth time a runner had exceeded 1,000 yards. Ferguson rushed for 1,169 yards and four touchdowns in 2007. “I wish I had 20 more like him,’’ said N.C. A&T head coach Lee Fobbs. “I’ve said since I got here, he has all the tools of a great running back. The young man has came through for us all year long. He’s just an iron man as far as I’m concerned. He’s put us in position to score all year long. I’m glad he is on our side.” Ferguson has 1,906 career yards, which puts him 906 yards away from becoming the Aggies all-time leading rusher. Ferguson compiled six 100-yard rushing games on the season, including a 181-yard performance against Prairie View A&M. He had six runs on the season of 35 yards or more. |
