Fobbs on the
First Half
"We could’ve played better in the first half. We should’ve come out the
chute better. We tried to take advantage of things, but it just didn’t
work. We just have to play better on offense. We had a little bit of
momentum going, but we didn’t protect the ball like we wanted to. It
just didn’t turn out the way we wanted it to."
Fobbs on the Aggies
offense and defense
"I think your defense is always ahead of your offense. I think that is
the case from the start of practice. We made some good adjustments at
halftime on the offensive side of the ball. We played better offensively
in the second half, but we still have a lot of work to do in that area."
Fobbs on Miller's
Interception
“He was trying to
make a play and it came out in their favor. We had the momentum going.
He probably should have protected the ball, but he pressed it, trying to
make something happen. He’s a tough kid and he’ll bounce back.”
Fobbs on the Game
"We
have something to build on,’’ said Fobbs. “I’m pleased with how we
played, but not happy. I think we could have played better in the first
half. Things happen during the course of the ball game, so we can’t put
the whole game on that one interception. But if don’t come out and play
well offensively in the first half, you put yourself in a hole early.
We’ve got to come out the chute better.”
Wide receiver Curtis Walls on
N.C. A&T's improvement
"I believe every day, every day we're going to be a good football team.
If I don't think that, then I don't need to be on this team."
Aggies linebacker Andre Thornton
on the Aggies defense
"I liked our aggression. We had 11 hats on the ball. If they got a first
down, we didn't lolly-gag down the field. We all ran down the field. We
are a better defense. There is no about that. We were more active
tonight, and we gave the team a chance to win tonight. We just have to
seal the deal next time."
