Head coach
Lee Fobbs on the game
"I thought it
would be a tough football game. We made more mistakes than they did, but
we still came out with the win because we believe now. We believe we can
overcome some of those mistakes and still win. They responded to the
challenge presented to them tonight."
Fobbs on the Aggies
resurgence
"We’ve always believed in what we were doing. There are critics in
everywhere you go. There are critics around when you play marbles. You
just have to believe in what you’re doing and then put into effect."
Fobbs on the Aggies goal line stand
"It was a great, great job by those kids. It was a great, great by our
coaches who put those kids in the right spot to make a play and they
responded well."
Fobbs on quarterback Herb Miller
"There were probably some situations in the game where if he had to do
it over again, he’d take a different route. He has to know we’re behind
him 100 percent. He knows there are some highs and lows in the game and
he has to play through those. He is still a work in progress, but we see
the improvement."
Fobbs on Michael Ferguson's performance
"We’ve had just about every pro scout from every team in here. They keep
coming so they must see something. Right now he’s an Aggie and that’s
all I’m concerned about. He is a determined young man and those were
some determined runs out there tonight."
Left tackle and
Winston-Salem native Enoch Cohen on beating the Rams
“I won my
city back, so I can’t even describe the feeling. It means more because
we could’ve folded, but we fought all the way to the end. That’s what
makes you feel good inside -- you fought through adversity."
Cohen on how the Aggies have turned around the program
"It’s all about one word. We believe. We know Chad is out there with us,
so we’re going to keep playing 100 percent."
Linebacker Andre
Thornton on the Aggies fourth-quarter goal line stand
"The
D-Line got penetration and the secondary had great coverage. If it
wasn’t for that, we would have gotten that big sack."
Thornton on
what the defense wanted to do the Rams redshirt freshman quarterback
"We wanted to
welcome him to college football, and then we wanted to make him
nervous.'
Running back
Michael Ferguson on the maturity of the team
"There is
so much maturity on this team, it’s unreal. I’m just proud of all these
guys because see how many of our guys have grown up."
Ferguson on
what the Aggies take into next week's game at Norfolk State
"We want to
take confidence. We finally won a close game in the fourth quarter.
We’re finishing games now and that’s great."
