ctober 31, 2009 -- Costly penalties and North Carolina A&T's inability to sustain drives cost the Aggies in a 31-13 loss to Bethune-Cookman during Homecoming 2009. It was the Aggies sixth straight homecoming loss. On a better note, sophomore Quay Long had a school-record 96-yard punt return.

GREENSBORO, October 31, 2009 -- North Carolina A&T paid tribute to 11 seniors on Saturday before the Aggies homecoming game against Bethune-Cookman. But the outcome was not fitting of a group who has overcome so much to reach a point where they could finish with a winning record.

The North Carolina A&T football team will play its 29th homecoming inside at Aggie Stadium on Saturday. It will be the eighth time the Aggies have played Bethune-Cookman as a homecoming opponent at Aggie Stadium.

Dontavious Payne rushed for a season-high 113 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries to lead North Carolina A&T to a 30-19 win over Howard at Hughes Stadium on Saturday. The Aggies not only ruined the Bison's homecoming, but they won in the nation's capital for the first time in 11 years.
