Caple File: He will be a key part in what will be an experienced secondary for position coach Travis Oliver…Was one of the few freshmen the Aggies were able to redshirt from the 2006 class…Caple heads into the fall camp in a tough battle for playing time at strong safety with veterans Brandon Colbert and Marquis Ruffin holding down the position…He may also see action at the free safety spot…He will most certainly play a role on special teams…Coaches love his quickness and his nose for finding the football…He is an excellent tackler with adequate skills in coverage…With his work in the weight room, coaches expect him to be a big-time hitter…REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2007)…He played in 11 games with no starts…He finished the season with 13 tackles with eight of them being solo stops…Had a career day against Morgan State on October 6 when he made five solo tackles…He stopped Morgan State running back Devan James for just a two-yard gain in the fourth quarter…He followed that performance with four tackles against Delaware State, three of them were assisted… FRESHMAN (2006): Redshirted… HIGH SCHOOL: He was named to the all-conference team three times…Earned a spot on the North Carolina Prep All-State team…Made 201 career tackles and broke up 32 passes...graduated with honors...PERSONAL: Full name is Quentin Brandon Caple...He is the son of Michael and Cathy Caple...Has two siblings, Michael and Alesia...He is an architectural engineering major...Chose to attend N.C. A&T because of its excellent engineering school...He plans to get a Master's in construction management after graduation.
