Christen File: Made the transition from
fullback to tight end in 2007…He became a key blocker alongside the Aggies
offensive line…He is one of head coach Lee Fobbs’ most reliable players… He
became a valuable weapon for the Aggies in the red zone…Possesses great
hands and is an outstanding blocker, which helps
the Aggies during goal line situations…Was pressed into duty as a freshman
because of an injury to starting fullback Oritz Green…An excellent blocker
who has the size and speed to give the Aggies an offensive lineman coming
out of the backfield…Will battle former quarterback and converted tight end
Quiznell Chestnut for playing time at the tight end position…Has played in
23 games as an Aggie with 11 starts...He has made 12 career carries for 26
yards and a touchdown…He also has four receptions for nine yards and a
touchdown in his career...Christen is also one of the Aggies stronger
academic students …JUNIOR (2007): Played in 11 games with eight
starts…He made three receptions for eight yards and a touchdown…Caught a
pass out in the flats from quarterback Shelton Morgan and scored on a
six-yard touchdown reception against Hampton on Sept. 15…On Sept. 22 against
N.C. Central, he caught a pass from Morgan and took it to the Eagles 1-yard
line for a five-yard gain…It setup a 1-yard touchdown from running back
Michael Ferguson…SOPHOMORE (2006): Played in seven games without
making a start…Recorded nine carries on the season for 26 yards…Also played
on the Aggies special teams, recording three tackles on the season…Played in
a three-man rotation at the fullback spot along with Eugene Parnell and
Oritz Green…Had his longest run of the season against S.C. State in which
his six-yard carry put the Aggies in a third-and-short situation…FRESHMAN
(2005): Played in five games with three starts on the season…Helped to
clear the way for Brandon Sweeney’s 205-yard rushing performance against
Morgan State on Oct. 8 in the Prince George’s Classic…Christen’s other two
starts were against Delaware State and Howard…CARY HIGH: Recorded
more than 100 pancake blocks during his career at Cary High…Proved to be
outstanding in short yardage situations...Recorded nine rushing touchdowns
on 500 yards rushing...PERSONAL: Full name is Michael Alec
Christen...He is the son of Marilyn and Michael Christen...Has three
