Clement File: As a member of head coach Lee Fobbs’ first recruiting class, Clement has been one of the few players in the class who stepped in and played immediately…He adds depth to the secondary for position coach Travis Oliver and he is excellent on special teams…Played significant minutes as a freshman because of lack of depth in the secondary, but his experience should pay dividends this season…Showed tremendous promise as a freshman with his ability to make tackles in the open field and his willingness to make plays around the line of scrimmage…He has improved his cover skills since entering N.C. A&T and will go into the fall as the backup at the rover position, a position that needs a player who is good around the line of scrimmage but is also excellent in coverage…Is a versatile player who can play safety or cornerback…Has made 67 career tackles with 35 coming as solo tackles…SOPHOMORE (2007): Played in 11 games with two starts…He made 20 tackles with 12 of them being solo stops…He had a solo tackle and an assisted tackle behind the line of scrimmage…He made six tackles against Bethune-Cookman on Oct. 27…He made one of those tackles against the Wildcats’ Corey Council when he stopped him two yards behind the line of scrimmage with the help of Antonio Johnson…He made four tackles with two solo stops against Morgan State on Oct. 6…One of those tackles created a two-yard loss in the second quarter that forced the Bears to punt…He stopped Morgan State running back Chad Simpson for a two-yard gain that forced another Bears punt...
