Lowrance’s experience and size should be a key factor this season for the Aggies…Will enter preseason camp in competition with Wallace Miles for one of the Aggies wide receiver positions…Lowrance has shown the ability to make tough catches and his height advantage over opposing corners has been an asset…Came to N.C. A&T as a quarterback with intentions on redshirting…Ended up converting to wide receiver after coaches discovered he had the great hands, size and speed to be a receiver…Has the athleticism to be a great basketball player…Should get a lot of work in offensive coordinator Chennis Berry’s wide-open style…Improved on running precise routes during the spring…Over his career, Lowrance has made 25 catches for 313 yards and two touchdowns…JUNIOR (2008): Played 12 games with 10 starts in 2008…Set career highs in receptions and yardage with 18 catches for 231 yards…Lowrance also caught a touchdown pass during the season…Put together the best game of his career on Sept. 13 against Norfolk State…Made six catches for 115 yards and a touchdown…All six of his catches went for first downs, including two third-down conversions…Caught a 17-yard touchdown from Carlton Fears in the fourth quarter to cut NSU’s lead to 27-14…On the next Aggies drive, caught a 36-yard pass from Fears (the longest reception of his career) that set up a 1-yard touchdown by Michael Ferguson which cut NSU’s lead to six…Completed a 41-yard pass play to Chaz Dawson on a trick lateral play that set up a 2-yard touchdown run by Herb Miller against Winston-Salem State on Sept. 6… SOPHOMORE (2007): Played in 11 games with 10 starts…He made five receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown…He caught his first career touchdown pass against Prairie View A&M on Sept. 8 when he went into the air and out jumped the defender for a 32-yard touchdown reception from Shelton Morgan…It helped the Aggies avoid a shutout against the Panthers...On Sept. 1 against Winston-Salem State, Lowrance caught a 14-yard pass from Herb Miller on a 4th-and-5 to give the Aggies a first down at the WSSU 9-yard line in the fourth quarter…Had another reception go for a first down on Oct. 20 against Howard when he caught a 9-yard out pattern from Morgan to set up an 8-yard touchdown by Michael Ferguson. FRESHMAN (2006): After serving as quarterback at the beginning of the season, moved to wide receiver where he earned playing time toward the end of the season… Played in five games without a start…Made his first career catch against Howard on Oct. 21, which was a seven-yard reception from quarterback Wayne Campbell…Made two receptions on the season and carried the football twice on end-arounds. ...EAST RUTHERFORD HIGH: Earned three all-conference selections during his career...Played three varsity seasons under head coaches Jerry Cash and Brad Levine...Was named the school’s Male Athlete of the Year as a senior...He was also named Rutherford County’s Player of the Year as a senior...Lowrance was also an excellent basketball player in high school...He was a three-time all-conference selection in the sport...PERSONAL: Full name is Giorgio Marque Lowrance...He is the son of Gary and Deborah Lowrance...He has one sibling, Sequoyah...He was born Nov. 16, 1987...He is a sports medicine and fitness management major...Enjoys fishing, listening to music and going to movies...
