Parnell File: Could get his chance to be the featured fullback
this season after playing two years as the backup…Parnell’s a solid runner
who runs low to the ground and has the speed to make big plays…Is also a
valuable player for the Aggies on special teams…Position coach George
Ragsdale enjoys his desire to block and hopes Parnell can figure into the
offense with his ability to catch the football…Coaches like him as a great
triple threat from the fullback position – great runner, good receiver and
outstanding blocker…Has size, speed and explosiveness through the hole…Has
made 22 career carries for 61 yards…Has also caught three passes for 28
yards and made eight kick-off returns…JUNIOR (2007): Played in 11
games without a start…Had nine carries for minus-3 yards on the season…Also
made two kick-off returns for 39 yards…Was used primarily as a blocker
during the season…SOPHOMORE (2006): Played in nine games without a
start…Averaged 4.9 yards per carry during the season…Had four runs of five
yards or more from the fullback position…Had a 22-yard carry against S.C.
State on Nov. 18 that kept an Aggies touchdown drive
going…Rushed for 23 yards on four carries at Delaware State on Oct.
14…Rushed for 64 yards on 13 carries during the season…Made three receptions
for 28 yards on the season…Had a 19-yard reception against Florida A&M on
Nov. 4 that moved the Aggies into Florida A&M territory. FRESHMAN (2005):
Played mostly as a special teams player...SOUTH FLORENCE HIGH: Played
four seasons under Willie Sellers and Lynn Flemming...He also lettered in
baseball for four years...Finished fourth in the state in weightlifting...He
