Shaheed File: The Oakland native had an excellent season for the Aggies and in many ways established himself as a viable cornerback…He showed an aggressive style of play to come up with timely breakups…He will enter camp as the No. 1 right cornerback…Position coach Travis Oliver likes his ability to be able to stay with and cover bigger receivers … J U N I O R (2007): He played in 11 games with 11 starts…Made 25 tackles with 21 of those stops being solo…He made 2 ½ stops behind the line of scrimmage…Tied for the team lead for pass breakups with eight and led the team in interception with three…Ranked third in the conference in pass defenses with 11…Ranked fourth in the conference in interceptions…Made his first interception of the season against Prairie View A&M on Sept. 8 when he picked off a pass from Chris Gibson…Shaheed recorded three solo tackles, recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass at Morgan State on Oct. 7…He picked up a fumble forced by Antonio Johnson and ran it down to the Bears 4-yard line to set up an Aggies touchdown…He had three pass breakups against Bethune-Cookman on Oct. 27…One of those breakups forced a Wildcats punt and another occurred on fourth down.
