Shropshire File: Head coach Lee Fobbs revels in how much Shropshire has matured as a person and a football player…After the death of offensive lineman Chad Wiley, Fobbs chose Shropshire as the team representative to speak to the media…Coaches love his physical play and his commitment to the team…He comes into fall practice as the No. 2 outside linebacker…Had another excellent spring campaign in which he showed the kind of aggressiveness the Aggies defense will pursue this season…He stepped on to the North Carolina A&T campus and made an immediate impact as he was named team Rookie of the Year…Has played in 27 games as an Aggie with 12 starts…Has 72 career tackles with 4½ of those tackles coming behind the line of scrimmage…Plans to work toward being a comedian when he graduates…REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2007): Played in 11 games with five starts…Made 32 tackles with one tackle for loss and one pass breakup…Had a career game against Howard on Oct. 20 when he recorded 11 tackles with eight of them coming as solo stops…He made four of those stops at or near the line of scrimmage… JUNIOR 2006: Redshirt season… SOPHOMORE (2005): Played in seven games with five starts…Made 23 tackles with seven coming on his own…Had a career game against Norfolk State on Sept. 10 with seven tackles, four solo tackles and he stopped Daryl Jones in the backfield for a 2-yard loss…Followed that performance the next week with eight tackles against Hampton with one of those tackles coming behind the line of scrimmage…Had three tackles against Elon and stopped running back Reggie Hall for a 1-yard loss during the game… FRESHMAN (2004): Played in 11 games with two starts…Recorded 17 tackles overall and had 10 solo tackles…Had three tackles, all solo, against Wake Forest on Sept. 18…Played a vital role on the Aggies special teams as a freshman…SEVENTY-FIRST HIGH: Played two varsity seasons under Chuck Marrs…Also wrestled and participated in track and field…He was named to the all-conference team as a senior…PERSONAL: Full name is Timothy Shropshire…He is the son of Sammy and Sonya Shropshire…He has one sibling, Terrell…He is president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes on the campus of N.C. A&T and in 2008 he was selected for the NCAA Leadership Conference…He is a sports science major, but plans on being a comedian after graduation…He hopes to be a multi-millionaire that affects millions of lives though spirituality and laughs.
