Wiley File: On May 27, 2008, Wiley died of heat illness after participating in a voluntary off-season workout on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University…Wiley likely would have come into fall camp looking to start at the left tackle position for the third straight season…Despite his death, the Aggies coaching staff and players have decided to leave Wiley on the roster for the 2008 season…Wiley was described as a gentle giant off the field…Teammates and athletic administration discussed his willingness to greet others with a smile … Teammates also commented that he was very generous with his time and was always willing to help his friends with their academics…Position coach Kenneth Ray said Wiley was his best pass blocker…Head coach Lee Fobbs told the family: “You’ve developed a winner. As parents, we put our stamp on our children. Through Chad your stamp should read approved, first class, energized and noteworthy.”… JUNIOR (2007): Played in 11 games with 11 starts…Played 555 snaps during the season and earned a positive grade 302 times…Finished the season with 19 knockdown blocks…Played 71 snaps against N.C. Central on Sept. 22 and earned a positive grade on 47 snaps…Surrendered just three sacks on the season…Made four knockdown blocks and did not give up a sack at Howard on Oct. 20…SOPHOMORE (2006): Played in and started all 11 games for the Aggies…Earned his best grade against Norfolk State on Sept. 30, when his protection led to quarterback Wayne Campbell breaking the Aggies freshman record for completions and passing yards in a game…Also played well against Hampton on Sept. 16 when helped quarterback Herb Miller gain rushing yards to the outside. FRESHMAN (2005): Was the understudy to tackle John Kato as a
redshirt freshman…Played in four games with no starts.
