Woodson File: Coaches think highly of Woodson and his potential to be an all-conference punter…Has been a staple for the Aggies on special teams over the last two seasons…Twenty-three of his punts have pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line…He has also forced opponents into making 23 fair catches…Head coach Lee Fobbs believes a good season from Woodson will help the Aggies defense tremendously…Has made 129 punts in his career for an average of 37.6…Eleven of his punts have gone for 50 yards or more...JUNIOR (2007): Punted in 11 games and punted the ball 69 times for an average of 37.5…Ranked fifth in the conference in punt average…Four of his punts went 50 yards or more and 13 of his punts landed inside the opponents’ 20-yard line…His hang time warranted returners to call for a fair catch 16 times…Had a career-high 60-yard punt at Howard on Oct. 20 that went for a touchback…Unloaded a 55 and 52-yard punt against Bethune-Cookman on Oct. 27…His 52-yard punt pinned the Wildcats to their own 6-yard line…SOPHOMORE (2006): Had 10 punts on the season that landed inside the 20-yard line…Three of his punts landed inside the 10-yard line…Also had seven touchbacks and forced punt returners to fair catch seven times last season…Had seven punts go 50 yards or more and 11 other punts went 40 yards or more…Punted the football 60 times last year for a 37.7 average, which ranked him fourth in the conference…Punted more times than any other punter in the conference…Unloaded a 58-yard punt on Sept. 23 against Louisiana Lafayette that put the Ragin’ Cajuns inside the 10-yard line…The next week he boomed a 54-yard punt that he booted from inside the Aggies 10-yard line…FRESHMAN (2005): Kicked off the ball once for 47 yards...REIDSVILLE HIGH: He played two varsity seasons under head Jimmy Teague...He was named to the All-County team as a senior...He also starred in baseball and track field at Reidsville...PERSONAL: Full name is Lee Woodson, Jr...He is the son of Brenda Woodson...He has one sibling, Marlone Parker...He is a sports science major and he plans to work or play for a NFL team...His birthday is Oct. 13, 1986...He grew up coming to N.C. A&T football games and loved the family atmosphere, therefore, he decided to attend college at N.C.
