Thirteen Aggies Graduate with HonorsGREENSBORO, N.C., May 8, 2005 –N.C. A&T State University conferred 1,100 degrees on Sunday at the Greensboro Coliseum. Twenty-nine of the undergraduate degrees belonged to N.C. A&T student-athletes, while four Aggie student-trainers completed graduation requirements. In addition, five former Aggies earned master’s degrees. Men’s track and field led the way with five athletes, including two who are still competing. Kenneth Perry, who runs on the 4x400-meter relay team, will join triple jump specialist Everett Bruce in the NCAA East Regional on May 27-28 at Randall Island, N.Y. Women’s track and field had four athletes, including three-time MEAC Champion Tiffany Green. Green, the fastest woman in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, will run in the 100-meter dash at the NCAA East Regional. Green joins teammate and fellow graduate Crystal Williams in the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relays at the Regionals. Thirteen student-athletes graduated with honors, earning a 3.0 grade point average or better. Softball athlete Lorraine Geiger, a second-team All-MEAC selection in softball, and football athlete Jerome Myers earned their degrees with highest honors (3.75 GPA or higher). A record-breaking crowd of 14,500 attended the ceremony, which featured keynote speaker and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina. HONORS GRADUATESWith Highest Honors
