· Steven Rush hit three 3-pointers on Monday night. His first three of the night came at the 8:15 mark of the second half. It was Rush’s first three in almost 93 minutes of action. Rush is one of only nine players in the nation to score 40 or more points this season. · Coleman recorded nine blocks Monday night. He broke the school record with that county, breaking the record of Kenny Cox who blocked eight shots in 1987. · Coleman’s nine blocks is the most by a freshman in the nation this season. · Coleman had 11 rebounds on Monday. It was the most by an Aggies freshman since Joe Bunn grabbed 13 rebounds as a freshman in 1994. · The Aggies win broke a five-game losing streak. Before Monday’s win, the Aggies last win came against Southern Virginia on Dec. 5. · Rush’s three 3-pointers gave him 153 3-pointers for his career. In just 45 games played as an Aggie, Rush moved past Dana Elliott to fourth on the Aggies all-time 3-pointers made list. · Jason Wills had three assists on Monday. He leads the team in assists with 2.7 per game. He has 177 assists, putting him 23 assist shy of becoming the first Aggie to record more than 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 200 assists in a career. · Angelo Hernandez has scored a combined for 27 points coming off the Aggies bench in his last two games on 12-for-17 shooting. · Steven Rush and Austin Ewing combined to hit five 3-pointers on Monday. On Saturday neither man hit a three, marking the first time since they have been playing together that both failed to hit a three in a game. |
