Box Score Walter Booth led the Aggies with a career-high 20 points, while Greg Roberts also had a career-high with 18 points. Michael Hayes and Jason Wills had 15 points apiece, and Hayes added a career-high seven steals. "We're still in an adjustment period,'' said N.C. A&T head coach Jerry Eaves. "We've had some unexpected turnover this season, so we're still trying to find out who we are." The Aggies looked like they were winners with 3:08 remaining in regulation. Greg Roberts' two free throws put the Aggies up seven, 67-60. The Aggies, however, went two minutes without adding another score and the Hawks were able to slice the Aggies lead to one on two consecutive Antonio McMillion jumpers. Troy Jackson then completed the Hawks' 9-0 run with a 3-pointer to put the Aggies down two, 69-67 with 1:02 remaining. Twenty-five seconds later, Roberts spun into the lane and scored on a left-hand layup to tie the game. After a Troy Jackson miss, the Aggies had a chance to win the game in regulation, but Roberts' 3-pointer bounced off the back of the rim. In overtime, the Aggies again appeared headed toward win No. 1 as Booth's jump shot put the Aggies ahead 73-69 with four minutes remaining. But two consecutive Ed Tyson 3-pointers each one form a different corner on the floor, gave the Hawks a two-point advantage. Roberts came through again for the Aggies on another layup, tying the game at 75 with 1:47 to play. Tim Parham's two free throws put the Hawks up two again, 77-75. On the Aggies ensuing possession, Roberts missed a jump shot, which allowed the Hawks to run down the clock. The Aggies were still able to get the ball back with eight seconds remaining, but Hayes shot didn't fall. The Aggies dropped to 0-11 on the season and 0-2 in the MEAC. They will travel to Dover, Del., to face the Hornets on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
