Coleman in Aggieland: Had an excellent freshman campaign in which he earned a spot on the MEAC’s All-Rookie team…Provides the Aggies with a legitimate low post presence…Has the ability to take over games without scoring with his ability to block shots, defend and rebound the basketball…Like most freshman under head coach Jerry Eaves, he did not start too many games, but he made a significant impact in just 21 minutes of action per night…Coleman signed with N.C. A&T on May 8, 2007…Eaves said his team immediately became a better defensive team…Coleman lived up to expectation by finishing second in the conference in blocks…He is from Eaves’ hometown of Louisville.

2007-2008: Played in 31 games with two starts…Averaged 6.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.84 blocks per game…Ranked second in the MEAC and 57th in the nation in blocked shots…Scored in double figures nine times and registered one double-double on the season…Named to the MEAC All-Rookie team…Shot .664 from the floor and .533 from the free throw line…Did not make enough field goals per game to rank in the conference or the nation in field goal percentage…Ranked 19th in the MEAC in rebounding and 15th in the conference in defensive rebounding (3.39)…Made an impact for the Aggies early by scoring a career-high 15 points, grabbing eight rebounds and blocking three shots in a win over Houston Baptist on Nov. 11…In his first career conference game, he scored 12 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked two shots against Norfolk State on Dec. 1…Had a superb game against Coppin State on Jan. 14…He blocked a single-game school-record nine shots and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds in just 21 minutes of action in the Aggies win…Recorded his first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds against Hampton on Feb. 4…Recorded 10 points on 4-for-4 shooting against Delaware State in the quarterfinals of the MEAC Tournament.

High School Career: Played four years of varsity basketball at Jeffersontown High School under Jeff Marrow…Was a two-time All-State performer in Kentucky as a junior and senior…Was also a three-time all-conference performer…Led Jeffersontown to its best record in school history with a 32-3 record as a senior…Also led Jeffersontown to a state championship in 2006…In the championship game, he was named game MVP… Averaged 13.2 points and 10.6 rebounds a senior. He was a second-team All-State selection by The Courier-Journal… Was selected to play in the Anthem Kentucky/Indiana All-Star Game.

Personal: Full name is Thomas Marcellous Coleman…He is the son of Jackie Armstrong and Thomas White…He was born March 20, 1989…He likes to listen to Young Jeezy and Lil’ Boosie before games.
