Johnson in Aggieland: Started to come into his own midway through last season…Began to make starts for the Aggies after mostly being a reserve player during his career at N.C. A&T…Adds versatility to the Aggies lineup…Johnson is a wing player who can score from the perimeter and can finish around the basket…Did not play much as a freshman because he played behind veterans Greg Roberts and Walter Booth…He comes into this season with a strong chance to be a starter at the forward position…Can knock down the mid-range jump shot and should be a good rebounder as well as an excellent defender for the Aggies this season. 2007-2008: Played 24 games with three starts…Started the Aggies final two games last season…Averaged 3.5 points, 1.1 rebounds and 8.9 minutes per game…Also shot .548 from the floor, .400 from 3-point range and .824 from the line…As his playing time increased toward the latter part of the season, so did his production…In the Aggies final six games of the season, he averaged 8.2 points, shot .636 from the field and averaged 16.2 minutes per game…Scored in double figures for the first time in his career on Dec. 5 against Southern Virginia when he scored 11 points and had five rebounds on 5-for-5 shooting from the free throw line…Had a career-high 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting in a narrow loss to Winston-Salem State on Feb. 23…Followed that performance with a 5-for-6 night at S.C. State in which he scored 10 points in a win at S.C. State…Played a career-high 24 minutes, scored 11 points and had four rebounds in a MEAC Tournament loss to Delaware State on March 13. 2006-2007: Played in 11 games without a start…Averaged 2.0 points and 1.0 rebounds, while shooting .643 from the floor…Hit his only 3-point attempt of the season…Went to the line four times and hit three of his free throws on the season…Played a season-high 10 minutes against Mars Hill on Nov. 20, where he scored eight points and three rebounds on 4-for-4 shooting in a win…Had five points and two rebounds in eight minutes of action in a win over St. Andrews on Dec. 5.
