Jones in Aggieland: During his first season, he showed an offensive skill set that could be beneficial for the Aggies this season…He is lengthy player with the athletic ability to play shooting guard and defend smaller players…Runs the floor well and is a good finisher…Jones can score from 3-point and can also effectively get into the paint…Eaves believes he can average double figures in the MEAC because he played in the National Junior College Athletic Association…Transferred to N.C. A&T from Butler County Community College in Eldurado, Kan.

2007-2008: Played in 31 games and made eight starts…Averaged 7.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 19.5 minutes per game…Started the Aggies first eight games of the season and averaged 6.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 16.9 minutes…As a non-starter, he averaged 8.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 20.3 minutes…For the season, he shot .474 from the field, .661 from the free throw line and .323 from 3-point range…He had his best game of the season in a crucial road conference win over Delaware State…Scored 24 points on 10-for-12 shooting in 27 minutes of action as a reserve…Also had six rebound in the game…Had his first double-figure scoring game as an Aggie on Dec. 5 when he scored 12 points on 6-for-10 shooting in a win over Southern Virginia…Had 17 points on 6-for-8 shooting in a loss to Morgan State on Jan. 12…Had 16 points on 3-for-3 shooting from 3-point range in 27 minutes in a win over Howard…Played 25 minutes at Florida A&M on Feb. 11 and scored 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting in an exciting 80-78 overtime Aggies win.

Butler Co. Community College: Played two seasons at Butler…Averaged 6.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game during his first year there…Averaged 9.7 points and 3.4 rebounds during his second season…Ranked second on the team in scoring and third on the team in rebounding in his second season…Scored 484 points and grabbed 197 rebounds during his career at Butler…Shot .430 from the field, .642 from the free throw line and .293 from 3-point range during his junior college career…Had a career best 27 points on 9-for-17 shooting and added six rebounds in a win over Independence Community College.

High School Career: Played at four different high schools as a prep standout…Attended Beachwood High (Ohio), Loudoun County High (Leesburg, Va.), Heritage High (Leesburg, Va.) and Notre Dame Academy (Middleburg, Va.) a senior during one ball game…Won a state championship in 2005 and made the all-tournament team.

Personal: Full name is Edward Charles Jones III…He is the son of Edward and Shelia Jones…He was born on Feb. 12, 1986…He is a liberal arts major with a concentration in business…Enjoys making shirts, watching movies, creating art and dancing…He calls himself Ed “All-State” Jones…He also loves to sing.
