Shepherd in AggieLand: N.C. A&T head men’s basketball coach Jerry Eaves feels like he got a steal when he signed Shepherd…He is a versatile big man who can put the ball on the floor and score…His long wingspan will also provide the Aggies with another shot blocker and excellent point man at the top of the Aggies full-court pressure defense…Also has a nice medium range jump shot…He did not play much as a freshman as the coaching staff worked to get him stronger for the rigors of playing in the MEAC…This season, he could play some center and power forward…He has the talent to be a valuable scorer for the Aggies. 2007-2008: Played in four games with no starts…Averaged 0.5 points, 0.5 rebounds and 2.8 minutes per game…Took only one shot on the season and connected in a loss to Pittsburgh on Nov. 10. Osceola High School Career: Played three seasons of varsity basketball at Osceola under head coaches Red Johnston and later Steven Mason…Averaged 12.5 points and 8.5 rebounds at Osceola High School. He had a career-high 28 points as a senior during one ball game…Also played football in high school. Personal: Full name is Kamiren Shepherd…He is the son of Jeannie Wilkerson…He has two siblings, Taurean and Travis…He was born on October 24, 1988…He did not declare a major…Chose N.C. A&T because of the Dawg Pound…If he could change something about the world it would be gas prices so he can get a car.
