Luper records her first career shutout

ORANGEBURG, S.C., March 29, 2008 – Freshman pitcher Jennifer Luper pitched a complete-game, one-hit shutout and had eight strikeouts to lead the North Carolina A&T softball team to a 4-0 win over S.C. State in its MEAC opener at Lady Bulldogs Field.

Lillian Bullock had two RBIs in the first contest.

 In the second game of the doubleheader, Bianca Alsobrook had three RBIs and Toni Torres added two RBIs to lead the Aggies to a 6-4 win over the Bulldogs. With the two wins, the Aggies improve to 14-11-1 on the season and 2-0 in the MEAC. The Bulldogs fall to 4-16 and 0-2.

The two teams will play one game Sunday, starting at 1 p.m.
