Conover bats .750 in two games against S.C. State

GREENSBORO, March 31, 2009 – Thanks to the rain, it was a short week but an effective one for Tangie Conover. The junior third baseman went 6-for-9 at the plate, including a double and a home run in two wins over S.C. State on Sunday to earn MEAC Player of the Week honors.

In addition, Conover recorded six RBIs and scored three times. Conover and the Aggies are coming off of a three-game sweep of S.C. State. Conover is third on the team in batting average at .295 and she is second on the team in RBIs with 17.

Conover has been the Aggies cleanup hitter the past three seasons. She has excelled in that role with 84 career RBIs and 11 career home runs. She has played in 124 games as an Aggie with 124 starts.
