HILL EARNS MEAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR

Hill hits .526 for the week

GREENSBORO, April 7, 2009 – Ryanne Hill moved up in the batting order to start this season and it has paid off for the North Carolina A&T softball team. Last week, Hill hit .526 with one home run and six RBIs to earn MEAC Player of the Week honors.

Hill leads the Aggies in hitting, RBIs and home runs. Hill also ranks eighth in the nation in RBIs. Hill helped the Aggies go 5-0 last week with 10 hits, including two doubles. Hill’s week included a 3-for-4 performance against N.C. Central, in which she scored twice; hit a double and a home run.

Hill batted sixth last season for the Aggies. Hill showed the ability to drive in runs, so head Mamie Jones moved her to the third spot in the lineup to maximize on that potential. Until this point, Hill has not disappointed.
