Relay team takes third in 400-yard medley relay

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.,  November 3, 2006 – N.C. A&T battled Northeast Conference rivals Gardner-Webb and Campbell University to a third place finish at the GWU Aquatic Center. The Aggies fell to GWU, 148-47, and to Campbell, 155-45.

The meet got off to a positive start, as the 400-yard medley relay team of Vinatae Wynn, Donielle Campbell, Gia Wright and Czamille Wright took third place with a time of 4:16.93.

Gia Wright took the best individual finish for the Aggies, taking third place in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:36.30. She was followed by Campbell, who finished in 5^th place with a time of 2:41.62. Wynn scored points in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in 5^th place with a time of 26:36.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Wynn, Gia Wright, Czamille Wright and Jewel Wright pulled in a time of 3:52.89 in an exhibition.

N.C. A&T (1-4) will swim in the three-day Radford University Invitational, beginning on Friday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m.
