ATLANTA, September 30, 2007 – North Carolina A&T freshman Winnie Quick went 3-1 and advanced to the Flight A semifinals at the Historically Black College and University Tournament.

Winnie Quick was defeated by Hampton’s Jobanna Fahgria 7-6, 6-4 (8-6) in the tiebreaker. Senior Christina Ruffin also won three times during the tournament. Aggies singles players won eight matches all together at the four-day event.

In doubles, the team of Porche Martin and Danielle McCaskill and the team of Terika Palmer and Jamie Jones won one match each.

The Aggies return to action Oct. 11-14 in the ITA Regional in Chapel Hill. It will be their final tournament of the fall season. Their spring season starts January 26 against UNC-Asheville at 5 p.m.
