ELON, January 13, 2007 – The Andy Smith era started on Saturday as the North Carolina A&T women’s team lost to Elon 7-0. Junior Christina Ruffin battled Jennifer Tucci in the first set of No. 2 singles before falling 6-4.

 Freshman Jaymee Jones got the start at No. 1 singles, losing in straight sets to Deanna Bailey. The Aggies will be back in action in two weeks when they host UNC-Greensboro at the Aggies Tennis Complex on Saturday, January 27 in the Aggies home opener at 3 p.m.
