N.C. A&T Highlights
When
women’s tennis coach Andy Smith signed Quick, he locked up his first
highly-regarded recruit…She should step in and play as the Aggies No. 1
singles player…During the fall, she has already has had success as an
Aggie…She won the Flight A championship at the
Dr. Robert Walker Johnson Tournament at Virginia State University in the
fall…She also teamed with Christina Ruffin to win the Flight A
championship in doubles at Virginia State…Quick went 3-1 at the
Historically Black College and University Tournament in Atlanta on
September
30, 2007.
High School
accomplishments
Played
three years of varsity tennis under her father John Quick at Dudley High
School…Finished undefeated all three years during the regular season and
regionals while competing at Dudley….She was a three-time all-conference
player and also earned conference player of the year honors…She is a
three-time regional and conference champion…She also reached the state
quarterfinals and semifinals during her career…She earned salutatorian
honor with her graduating class and was a member of the National Honor
Society.

Full name
is Winnie Jannett Quick…She is the daughter of John and Gwen Quick…She
has two siblings: Jynnifer and Jonathan…She is an accounting major…Her
mother works at N.C. A&T…She says her older sister is the biggest
influence on her life because she had the courage to move to California
to become an actress…She wants to develop the same courage…She chose
N.C. A&T because she really loves the atmosphere and the display of
Aggie Pride…Before matches she listens to her i-pod and sleeps.
