For the second
straight season, the North Carolina A&T women’s tennis team is
headed to the MEAC Tournament. The Aggies won twice at the 2010
Tennis Round, including a win over Norfolk State which guaranteed
them a berth. |

Henry wins in three sets
GREENSBORO, January 22, 2010 --
The North Carolina A&T women's tennis
team looked like a team retooled to become a contender in the MEAC. The
Aggies had three matches go to three sets before finally losing to East
Carolina 5-2 Friday afternoon at the Piedmont indoor Tennis Center.
Azeib Nigatu and Nina Henry both won their respective matches. |

-- The North Carolina A&T
women's tennis team starts the 2010 season Friday morning at 11
when East Carolina visits the Aggie Tennis Complex. Unlike many of
their opponents, the Aggies are made up of mostly American players.
Among those Americans is second-team All-MEAC selection Winnie
Quick.

QUICK NAMED
SECOND-TEAM ALL-MEAC
Quick led the team in wins
GREENSBORO, April 19, 2009 -- North Carolina A&T sophomore and
Greensboro native Winnie Quick was named MEAC second-team all-conference
before the MEAC Tournament over the weekend. Quick had a career-high
eight wins this season and has 15 matches during her career. |
