Quick led the team in wins
GREENSBORO, April 19, 2009 -- North Carolina A&T sophomore and
Greensboro native Winnie Quick was named MEAC second-team all-conference
before the MEAC Tournament over the weekend. Quick had a career-high
eight wins this season and has 15 matches during her career. |

The
N. C. A&T women's tennis team returns to the MEAC
Tournament after a two-year absence. The Aggies will open tournament
play 8:30 Friday morning at the Millbrook Tennis Center in Raleigh
against the MEAC North's No. 1 seed in Hampton University. The
Aggies lost a tough 4-3 contest to the Pirates earlier this season. |

The North Carolina A&T women's tennis team continued to show
improvement as it heads into this weekend's MEAC Tournament. The Aggies
defeated arch-rival N.C. Central 4-3 in the same town the tournament
will be held -- Raleigh.

tennis lost to Liberty 7-0 on Saturday at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis
Center. But that is not what interim head coach James Dunwoody is solely
focused on. Dunwoody is looking to mold the team into what he feels will
be the winning formula for an MEAC championship. |

Redfern, Jones shine at MEAC Round-Up
SUMTER, S.C., March 8, 2009 -- After a two-year absence from the
MEAC Tournament, the North Carolina A&T women's tennis team will be back
after going 4-2 at the 2009 MEAC Roundup. Shondra Redfern won four
singles matches and teamed with Winnie Quick to go 3-0 in doubles
matches at the roundup. |
