AGGIES LOSE TOUGH MATCH TO SPARTANS

GREENSBORO, March 5, 2006 –  N.C. A&T women’s tennis team couldn’t deliver the doubles point as the Aggies lost to Norfolk State 4-3 in the MEAC South Roundup on Friday. The Lady Aggies finished 0-3 over the weekend, but Deandra Bailey came through against the Spartans by winning at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles with teammate Tracey Ross.

 S.C. State and Bethune-Cookman defeated the Aggies, each they shutout the Aggies. Tracey Ross lost 2-6, 2-6 to Borisev in No. 4 singles to give the Aggies their best chance at a point against Bulldogs on Saturday. Against the Wildcats, Terika Palmer played Shawanda Garter to a 4-6 duel in the first set before losing 2-6 in the second.

 The Aggies will face Longwood at Longwood on Saturday. me in and earned the save. It was his first save since earning the save in the Championship game of the MEAC Tournament last season.
