GREENSBORO, June 8, 2007 – North Carolina A&T women’s tennis coach Andy Smith announced Winnie Quick, a Dudley High School product, will play tennis for the Aggies next season. Quick is expected to be a key cornerstone in Smith’s rebuilding process at N.C. A&T.

Quick played No. 1 singles and doubles at Dudley. She was one of the best players in the area and she was No. 1 in North Carolina in Girls 18’s for the United States Tennis Association. Quick is familiar with the surroundings at N.C. A&T. Both her parents graduated from the University, and her mother works at N.C. A&T.

“She is an absolute blue chip player,’’ said Smith. “She was a great gift to us and she should be playing at the top of our lineup next season.”
