AGGIE WOMEN FALL TO CAMPBELL

Greensboro, N.C., March 25, 2006 – The N.C. A&T women’s tennis team lost to Campbell, 7-0, in non-conference at the Aggie Tennis Complex.

Tracy Ross, the Aggies’ No. 4 singles player, came into today’s match after snapping a four-match losing streak against Liberty. Ross fell to Liza Bensimon  6-2, 6-1.

Campbell was led by Scarlett Alfonso, who defeated Kathryn Jackson 6-2, 6-1 in No. 1 singles, then teamed with Nina Surviladze to defeat Jackson and Christina Ruffin 8-3 at No. 1 doubles. Surviladze also won her singles match, defeating Deandra Bailey 6-1, 6-0.

The Aggies will host their final home match of the season on Fri. Apr. 7, as they will take on Gardner-Webb at 3 p.m. The match will be the final appearance for seniors Ross, Jackson and Shannon Pittman
