GREENSBORO, October 6, 2007 – The North Carolina A&T men’s cross country team had two runners finish in the top 20 Saturday as the Aggies finished third at Hagan Stone Park in the Greensboro Cross Country Invitational. Rashad Burnett had his usual top 15 finish by finishing 15th with a time of 27:34.4. Burnett has finishes of eighth, second and 11th this season and has helped the Aggies post low scores all season. Teammate Reggie McAfee had his highest finish of the season by finishing 19th. Burnett finished fifth among Division I schools running at the event, while McAfee finished ninth with a time of 28:13.8. Kavaughn Brown finished 14th among Division I schools and was 36th overall. On the women’s side Janee Cadlett again had the best time among Aggie runners with a time of 21:42.7 in the 5K race. She finished 13th among Division I runners and 46th overall. Finishing behind her was junior Tarell Taylor who finished 14th among Division I runners and 49th overall. The Aggies will compete in the MEAC Cross Country Championships in Virginia Beach, Va., on Oct. 27. |
