BURNETT FINISHES 16TH AT RALEIGH INVITE

RALEIGH, N.C., September 15, 2006 – The Aggies had four runners finish in the top 30 four a fourth place finish at the Raleigh Invitational. Sophomore Rashad Burnett was the highest Aggie finisher.

He finished 16^th with a time of 17:06, marking his highest finish and fastest time of his career. Teammate Kavaughn Brown, a freshman out of Charlotte, finished two seconds behind Burnett for a 17^th place finish. Sophomore Jesse Fox and Junior Reggie McAffee closed out the top 30 finishers for the Aggies.

Fox finished 24^th with a time of 17:58. Thirteen seconds later, McAffee finished in 25^th. The Aggies finished with 115 points as a team. With 15 points, N.C. State won the event by having seven runners finish in the top 7.

The Aggies run at Hagan Stone Park in Greensboro on Sept. 23 in the Greensboro College Invitational.
