Brown is one of the Aggies promising distance runners…He was an All-MEAC performer at the 2006 Cross Country Championships…Finished 15th at the 2006 MEAC Cross Country Championships with a time of 27:38.5…He was named team Rookie of the Year at the 2006 N.C. A&T Athletics Banquet…Placed 19th in the 2006 N.C. Collegiate Cross Country Event with a time of 29:43.7…In 2007, finished 24th at the Raleigh Cross Country Invitational with a time of 17:21.00.  

High School accomplishments
Earned 10 varsity letters in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field under head coach Bennett King at West Charlotte High School…He was a three-time cross country MVP at West Charlotte…Brown was also a three-time all-conference performer, a Midwest All-Region performer and won a Class 4A team state championship outdoor and indoor track…He also earned the Wendy’s High School Heisman award…He was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and the National Honor Society…Brown’s academic success also earned him the Charlotte Post’s Senior Merit Award, the Coca-Cola Student-Athlete of the Month in April of 2006 and Who Who’s Among American High School Students-Sports Edition/Honor Society…At his high school graduation, Brown received the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools 12 years Perfect Attendance award.

Full name is Kavaughn “KB” Brown…He is the son of Jennifer Bell-Swindell and Jerry Swindell, Jr…He has one sibling: Jenjer Swindell…He is a business marketing major…He earned Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman National Academic Honor Society membership…He is also in the Honors Program and received the School Business and Economics’ Academic Award…His favorite food are chicken fajitas and his favorite book is The Bible…His message to youth is: “Knowledge applied is powerful; having knowledge is useless unless it’s being applied.”
