AGGIE LAST CHANCE MEET INFORMATION

Date: Friday and Saturday May 12-13, 2006

 Location: Irwin Belk Track at Aggie Stadium on the campus North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC

Entry Limitations: Each team may enter up to four (4) athletes in each individual event and two (2) relay teams in each relay event.
Entry Deadline: Wednesday, May 10, 2006
Entry Fee: $25.00 per athlete including each relay member or $250.00 per team.  A team is considered 10 or more athletes.  Entry fees are non-refundable.

 Declaration: Athletes must check in at Clerking Area thirty (30) minutes prior to start of an event.  Heats will be drawn in the clerking area.

 Facilities: Eight (8) forty-eight (48”) lanes of Mondo Super X Olympic style track surface.  Dual direction run ways for long jump, triple jump, and pole vault with maximum of one hundred and sixty-five (165) feet.  Multi-directional high jump area time limited approach.  Shot and discus circles are brushed concrete.

 Equipment: Spike length must be one-fourth inch (1/4”) pyramids or pressure spikes only; no Christmas Tree spikes!!  Implements must be certified and weighted. 

 Information:  We are willing to run multiple finals based on entries.  Generally, the top 16 times in the 100 meters, 100 hurdles, and 110 hurdles will advance to a two section final.  In the long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus, and javelin the top nine will advance to the finals.  All attempts will be measured in the field events.  Men’s triple jump board will be twelve point fifty-four (12.54/41’1) meters and Women’s triple jump board will be ten point thirty-six (10.36/34’0), meters.  The long jump board will be three point sixty-six (3.66/12.00) meters.

 North Carolina A&T Invitational Meet Information

 Sports Medicine:  There will be a Sports Medicine tent located the northeast end of the stadium that will be open for all teams.  There will be at least four treatment tables, two modality units, hot packs, water, injury ice, and all basic first aid supplies.  Ultrasound and electrical stimulation can be administered if a Certified Athletic Trainer accompanies the athlete (s).  If a Certified Athletic Trainer is unavailable for travel, we ask that you call or fax the documented protocols to be used for e-stim and/or ultrasound on your athlete (s).  In an event that your team will be unassisted by any medical support staff, we ask that you provide pre-event tape or any supplies needed to assist your athlete (s); please call or fax us ahead of time too insure we can service your athlete (s) properly.  The athletic training room is for emergency purposes only.  There will be a member of our staff at the sports medicine tent at all times.  If available one of our team physicians will be on sight, if not they will be on call along with EMS.  If you have, any questions feel free to contact me (RJ Miles, ATC) at (336) 256-0533 (Office) or 256-2199 (Fax).

 Showers: Will be available in the Bryant Fitness and Wellness Center.  Please bring your own towels and personal items.

 Warm Up Areas: The grassy field adjacent to the track will be available for warming up.

 Results: All results will be posted on the west side of the stadium under the bleachers on a billboard and on-line at www.coacho.com
