PRINCETON, N.J., April 28, 2006 -- North Carolina A&T women's track star Courtney Clark broke the school record in the 400 meter hurdles at the prestigious Penn Relays over the weekend. Clark ran a time of 58.08 to finish fourth in the second heat of the event. Clark has already won the 400 meter hurdles three times this season, and has qualified for the 400 meter hurdles for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Regional to be held at N.C. A&T's Irwin Belk Track May 26-27. Clark was also a part of the 4x100 relay team that finished fifth in the in the College section of the event. Clark's teammates were Lauren Taylor, Phykesha Blackmon and Carmenta Mitchell. Alexandria Spruiel, Clark, Mitchell and Blackmon finished third in the sixth heat of the 4x200 relay team. On the men's side, Brandon Via placed ninth in the triple with a leap of 49-feet, 3.75-inches.
