TAKES HOME FIRST INDOOR TITLE
Newman wins the 60 meters championship
LANDOVER, Md., February 13, 2010 -- The North Carolina A&T
men's indoor track and field team finished third, while the women
finished second in the 2010 MEAC Indoor Track and Field
Championships held at Prince George S&L Complex.
Senior David McFadgen won the men's triple jump and finished second
in the long jump.

A&T men's indoor track and field team had two runners finishes in
first at the Penn State Nationals. Senior Calesio Newman earned his
second win of the season in the 60 meters, while sophomore Jarrell
Elliott took first-place in the 400 meters. |

NEWMAN NAMED MEAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Newman wins second MEAC weekly honor
GREENSBORO, January 20, 2010 -- Calesio Newman was named MEAC
Male Athlete of the Week after an impressive showing at the Virginia
Tech Invitational. Newman ran the fourth fastest time in the nation
this season in the 60 meters.
