2014 Season: Did not compete.

2013 Season: Played in and started 40 games… Batted .308 with six RBI, 37 hits and 20 runs scored…Led the team in runs, ranked second in hits and fifth in batting average… Was also second in multiple hit games with 11 … Had her best performance of the season against Savannah State in a 13-5 win where she was 3-for-4 with three runs and a RBI on April 14 … Also recorded a triple in a loss to SSU the day before … Tabbed a season-high two RBI against Florida A&M on April 6 where she was 2-for-4 … Advanced runners 31 times of out 47 opportunities … Was 4-for-5 in stolen bases.

2012 Season: Played in 49 games with 48 starts...Batted .275 with three doubles, three triples, a home run, 14 RBI and 17 runs scored...Hit .301 with runners on base and .261 with runners in scoring position...Was tied for the team-lead in two-out RBI with nine...Tied for team lead in triples with Dominique Smith and Hope Fletcher...Earned MEAC Player of the Week on March 27...Totaled nine total bases against UMES on March 22, going 4-for-4 with a triple, a home run and four RBI.

2011 Season: Played in 40 games with 39 starts...Was named second-team All-MEAC after hitting .354 with three doubles, two triples, a home run, 12 RBI and 15 runs scored...Walked three times and struck out 29 times...Went 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts...Had a season-high three RBI in two games...Went 3-for-4 on Feb. 13 against Grambling, and then went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored on April 9 against N.C. Central...Also had a season-high three hits on May 7 against Bethune-Cookman...Her season-long hitting streak was seven games, which she did from March 26-April 15 and from April 27-May 8.

High School: Competed at the varsity level at Southeast Raleigh High School for all four years...Was named to the all-conference team, all-tournament team, and all-academic teams all four years of high school...Was named to the all-state team as a junior and senior...Also competed in volleyball and basketball...Earned a spot on the American International Sports Team.

Personal: Full name is Detavia Chelés Kenan...She is the daughter of Felicia Kenan Boyles and Roderick Boyles...Was born on July 3, 1992...Majors in animal science and in 10 years she wants to be living in Atlanta working as a physical therapist or physician's assistant...A member of the Pre-Vet Club, SAAC and her other interests include hanging out with friends, writing poetry, and music...Spent the summer working on a farm, swimming and hanging out.
