ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - The North Carolina A&T bowling team
completed day two of Wildcat Invitational on Saturday with April Terry leading
the way during individual play. Terry bowled a season-best 227 in a win over
Salem University. In the Aggies other win of the day, Amber Brown bowled a 186 against
S.C. State.
N.C. A&T went 2-4 on Saturday following its 2-4 record
on Friday during bakers play. The Aggies will bowl again on Sunday.
Terry's 227 fell short of her career-high of 279, but she
did follow up her performance at last week's Hampton Road Bowling Invitational
with her third 200 game of the short season. Terry had the Aggies highest
average on Saturday, 172.5. The cumulative total for all five bowlers was
4,713. N.C. A&T's two-day total is 8,470, which places the Aggies ninth
among tournament teams going into the final day.
The Aggies four losses on Saturday were to Alabama State,
Farleigh Dickerson, Morgan State and Delaware State. On Friday, the Aggies defeated
Tulane 772-574. They also had a win over S.C. State on Friday to improve their
conference record to 3-2 on the season. The Aggies are 9-15 on the season.
