The
word quarterback conjures up images of a hero, a superstar or the most popular
guy on campus. A quarterback often gets the majority of the publicity and news
coverage. His every move, good, bad or indifferent, is often critiqued heavily.
Outside of all the glitz and glamour of the position, a quarterback must
be intelligent, he must be willing to learn new things quickly and he must be a
leader. North Carolina A&T starting quarterback Lewis Kindle is becoming all
those things on and off the field.
This
past season, Kindle threw more than 2,020 yards and 16 touchdowns. Kindle, an
English major out of Atlanta, Ga., also posted a better than 3.0 grade point
average for the fall semester.
